...and you think you've got problems. A suddenly unemployed middle aged ex-executive suffers a nervous breakdown. Mel and his wife, Edna, have to cope during an intense summer heat wave and prolonged garbage strike. Noisy neighbors, loud sounds and a broad daylight robbery add to their frustration. It is up to the loving care of his brother Harry, his sisters and Edna to bring Mel back to a firm reality.
