Louisiana small-town life, the sudden realization of mortality, and the strength of women. Hilarious and touching, this play reveals the tenacity and purposefulness underlying the banter of its characters. Sometimes flowers are expected to carry weight that may only be supported by steel.

Following six twenty-somethings on their search for “home,” On Our Own takes a decidedly different look at the holiday season. Funny, nostalgic, sometimes sad, but ultimately hopeful, every generation will find something to connect with as On Our Own examines the universal theme of “family” and how differently it’s defined, particularly around the holidays. The cabaret format features songs by young singers and songwriters as they share the experiences and perspectives of a generation moving into adulthood: the myriad of emotions surrounding returning home, where is home?, who is my family?, where do I fit in? Come experience On Our Own.
