Figure Drawing Class to Begin October 27

Drawing by Jonathan AllerAlso known as life drawing, Figure Drawing is a class dedicated to the study of drawing the human form and is open to students of all experience levels. The first half of each class will be devoted to learning techniques that comprise the formula for successful life drawing. The second half of class will involve putting those techniques into practice by drawing from a live model. Figure Drawing will be led by teaching artist Jonathan Aller, who received his training from Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida and the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy.

Get Ready for “The Great Minnesota Give Together” on November 16

Give to the Max DayBloomington Theatre and Art Center will join thousands of Minnesota nonprofits in celebrating the third annual Give to the Max Day on November 16. This online initiative encourages and recognizes charitable giving throughout the state, shining a spotlight on the noble and varied work of our nonprofit sector and the financial contributions – big and small – that make it possible.

Please watch for more information about Give to the Max Day from us in the coming weeks and consider making a gift to BTAC on November 16. In addition to helping provide high quality performing arts, visual arts, and arts education programs, each donor who contributes to BTAC on Give to the Max Day is eligible to win an hourly “Golden Ticket” – an additional donation of $1,000 for the nonprofit he or she supports.
