Politics done right. In the 1930’s world of New York politics – corrupt and self-serving, this 1950’s era musical tells a tale of how to survive and thrive while doing the right thing. Based on the life of Fiorello H. La Guardia, the New York City Mayor who broke the Tammany Hall political machine and reformed New York City politics, you will experience an uplifting new perspective on what politics can be. Fiorello LaGuardia (the “Little Flower”), was first elected to congress in 1922 and became the mayor of New York in 1933. He spent his career as an advocate against government corruption. Fiorello is filled with big-band style music that is reminiscent of Guys and Dolls and will lift your spirits.
